Faith Encouragement: Species are Decreasing

Fossil Record:  Species are Decreasing, Not Increasing

Even from early in the fossil record the number of new species is decreasing, not increasing.

Evolution by definition should result in formation of new species, adding to the total number of species seen in the fossil record. In actuality the fossil record reveals a dramatic reduction in the number of living species over the fossil record, without any environmental interference from man. There is not one evidence of one species changing into another. Finches may change their appearance, but this is merely a change in expression of a gene pool already present within that finch.
